Since 2003, The Undergraduate Theatre Association has been the representative voice for students in the theatre department. From producing original and established shows to working with professors and university representatives to make sure the undergraduates have a say, UTA has been there.
We are constantly redefining ourselves and always listening to the needs of the undergrads. Musicals, plays, workshops, independent studies, we want to make sure you are getting the experience of a lifetime!
UTA also strives to connect people with an interest in theatre. YOU do not need to be in the Theatre Department to be a UTA member! We pride ourselves on our diversity. Our most recent musical production encompassed over a dozen different majors from freshmen to sixth year seniors!
So whether you want to perform, design or just help out, let us know because we are here for you!

UTA just wrapped up its most successful year and theatrical season ever with three shows produced, not including the workshops set up with local professionals, UW professors and MFA students! Join us as we do it all over again with our '08-'09 season!

UTA remains a respected presence in the Madison community, providing Outreach opportunities by working with local schools and organizations.
We also represent the Undergrads to the Theatre and Drama Department and have worked with the department to secure privileges and benefits for undergrads within the department of Theatre and Drama
