Tech

UTA has a dual mission of providing technical support for UTA productions, and providing opportunities in University and community theater to undergraduate technicians and designers. UTA works with organizations such as the Madison Repertory Theater and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) to provide professional, real-world theater tech experience, as well as recommending classes and community projects for those interested in learning about and polishing their skills in stage lighting, sound, set design and construction, and stage management.

Experienced in tech? UTA consists of members who have completed training in specific disciplines either through the Department of Theatre & Drama or other sources. If you have backgound in any design or production, you should consider submitting your contact information and resume. Contact Christina Keryczynskyj for more information.

New to tech? Never fear! UTA hosts several workshops for introduction to theatre production fields. Check our events calendar and join our email list for more information.

Interested in becoming a partner organization? Please contact Christina Keryczynskyj with your needs and we will be happy to share your opportunities with our members.
